• Love seeing strong women who actually look strong, something that’s still far too rare in Webtoons
• Don’t mind that the entire conflict could’ve been solved with a bit of honest communication, and yes, the second ML was definitely done dirty. He didn’t need to catch feelings for Rosa for the plot to work the same way.
• Enjoy reading a story that feels truly unique. This one is such a breath of fresh air and is also one of the best Romance Comedy Manhwa out there.

Mafia Nanny

Summary: Davina became an elite nanny after losing her parents at a very young age. The job is more than just work for her though. She is determined to find out who was responsible for their murder, and becoming a nanny is part of that plan. As luck would have it, Gabriel Angelini happens to be looking for one. He appears to be a ruthless mafia underboss, but that isn’t the whole story.

Mafia Nanny is currently one of the most popular romance series on Webtoon, and it’s easy to see why. The art is gorgeous, the mystery subplot develops slowly but keeps you interested, and the child character adds a really heartwarming element.

What makes the FL OP?

Davina is hired to protect the child of mafia boss Gabriel Angelini, and she has trained for this her whole life. There are also many scenes where she shows what she is capable of

• Love reading an Action Romance Manhwa with great art
• Don’t mind reading a slow burn, where they don’t have that many genuine moments full of tension together, before the romance starts
• Love the childcare trope – even with all the action and mystery, the childcare aspect still plays an important and consistent role in the story

What makes the FL strong?

If you loved Alchemy of Souls, A Martial Master Wakes Up as a Concubine could be right up your alley. The female lead used to be a martial arts master but now has to get used to living in a weak body. Her way of dealing with things is hilarious though, and she still throws punches left and right.

You should read if you:

• Don’t mind when the female lead hides her true identity at first, especially when the contrast between her real personality and how she is supposed to behave is so obvious
• Love a dynamic between the male lead and female lead that is hilarious, where they constantly bicker but still have great chemistry
• Like when the female lead is completely badass and also a bit random

The lady and the beast

Official summary on tappytoon: „Following a life of bloodshed and heartbreak, the great Empress Martina is reborn as Astina, the genius daughter of a humble count. But her peaceful world is shattered when bankruptcy forces her father to marry her off to the dangerous Archduke Atalenta. Astina is a badass and very competent female lead. She can fight, although this is mostly shown at the beginning, and she is able to tame the “beast”, a feat no one managed before her.

• Like it when the male lead is the first one to fall in love
• Don’t mind if the female lead is very cold towards the male lead
• Love to read a Manhwa with unique art

The Taming of the Tyrant – where the female lead is a strong knight

• Don’t mind when the female lead is pretty unapproachable

Antistalker

Summary: Kira and August are the protagonists in this Webtoon. They are childhood friends but Kira doesn’t remember their time together. They both go to the same school and Kira is on the disciplinary committee. In the first chapter, Kiras finds roses and a plushy in her locker and thinks that August is her stalker. Although that’s not true, he lets her believe that to get closer to her.

What makes the FL OP?

In order not to spoil you, I can’t go into too much detail but just trust me that Kira is the most op character in this Webtoon. She is also shown in action many times and not only the students fear her.

You should read if you:

• Don’t mind the Amnesia-trope (Kira doesn’t remember her past with August)
• Love it when the MCs bicker a lot and have a pretty rough dynamic
• Like reading a hilarious Webtoon with vampires, werwolves and humans

Unholy Blood

Hayan is a vampire and therefore extremely strong. She is very badass and crushes her opponents with brute force.

You should check it out if you:

• Don’t mind a very late start for Romance. It isn’t the main focus in Unholy Blood. If you want to know which chapters they get closer check out: Is there Romance in Unholy Blood?
• Love reading a story with angst and drama
• Like it when a Webtoon has many antagonists and the female lead works herself up to the main one

The two special cases: Crimson Karma and Roxana

Crimson Karma appears on almost every list of series with a strong female lead, and for good reason. The female lead is extremely strong. She can fight, commands a special force in the army, and mostly suppresses her emotions because she sees herself only as a soldier.

I loved Crimson Karma at first and would still recommend it. However, it started to get on my nerves that many male characters fall for her for no apparent reason. The art isn’t top-notch, but it’s still good.

I would recommend reading it if you don’t mind a very cold female lead and some questionable plot choices.

Roxana

Roxana belongs to a villainous family of assassins: the Agriches. As she got reincarnated she know the course of the story and tries to prevent her own death by saving the life of the heroines brother Cassis Pedelian. Although Roxana doesn’t really fight herself, I still placed this recommendation here because her poisonous butterflies do the dirty work for her. She has to feed them with her own blood, which already makes her pretty badass, and she is also quite ruthless. But Roxana has been on Hiatus for a very long time, and it isn’t clear whether the author ever comes back.

I Shall Master this Family

Firentia is the perfect strong female lead. Even though she doesn’t fight, she is still very badass. Her quest to take over the Lombardi family feels believable, and she works tirelessly to achieve her goal.

• Like seeing adults being startled by a little girl
• Love reading a story about the most lovable Manhwa-Dad in history
• Don’t mind when the Fl is little for a very long time and the Romance is very Slow Burn

For Better or For Worse

Even though Dillion is a noble daughter, she doesn’t really act like one. She tends to do whatever she wants and refuses to follow expectations just because of her status. Dillion stands up for herself and definitely isn’t a pushover.

• Love it when the MCs have a hilarious dynamic and bicker a lot
• Like it when the characters don’t behave the way you would expect them to
• Love reading about a very unique and hilarious stepmother and don’t mind the occasional misunderstandings

The princess imprints a traitor

Summary: This is one of the first time-reversal Manhwa where they actually explain how and why the reversal takes place. This story is about Evenrose and her quest to reform the system of the palace: By convincing her father to make her the next heir she wants to abandon slavery and give the homunculi a better life. The male lead is Michael – a homunculus that becomes her personal knight.

Why is this on the list?

In her first life, Evenrose was a pushover and couldn’t really stand up for herself. With her second chance, she changes that completely. She becomes mentally strong and joins the fight for the succession alongside her siblings while still remaining very kind.

Check it out if you:

• Love reading about a female lead who is very kind and has a big goal: abolishing slavery
• Like it when the male lead is the female lead’s bodyguard
• Like it when the male lead is very distrustful at first but slowly becomes fond of the female lead

Villainess in Love

• Don’t mind when the Romance is pretty slow – they are both shy
• Love it when the other gives you many reasons to hate on the antagonists (her mother…oh god)

Villain’s are destined to Die
