But these characters are just so fun, and the female lead is so well written. I love her. So when I stumbled upon the announcement on Kakao that Season 4 is already running in Korea, I was pretty happy. But what does that mean for English readers? Here is everything you need to know.

Atri (the Label not the artist) shared the Season 4 return announcement on March 6, 2026. Season 4 kicked off on March 25 with episodes 97 and 98 dropping at the same time. Since then, new episodes have been releasing weekly – episode 99 came out on April 1 and episode 100 on April 8.
Before that, a first update came on December 30, 2025, where Atri announced that Season 4 would return in early spring 2026 without giving a specific date.
The hiatus on Kakao lasted roughly seven months. Season 3 ended on August 13, 2025, and Season 4 didn’t return until March 25, 2026. It’s worth noting that the break was partly due to the artist’s health. Back in July 2025, the series went on a three-week break before wrapping up Season 3, specifically to give the artist time to recover and maintain the quality of the art.
What About the English Release on Tapas?
As of right now, there is no confirmed release date for Season 4 on Tapas. The only thing we got was the standard hiatus announcement when Season 3 ended on October 1, 2025: “We will be taking a hiatus before returning with Season 4.” No timeline, no updates since.
Here’s where it gets interesting though. Season 3 ended on Kakao on August 13 and on Tapas on October 1 – a gap of about six weeks. If that same gap applies to Season 4, we could potentially see the Tapas return sometime in May 2026. But that’s just my estimate based on past timing, not an official announcement.
That said, I wouldn’t get your hopes up too much. There are cases like I Married the Male Lead’s Dad and No Office Romance where the Korean originals were running for quite a while with no updates for English readers. Both series had a gap of several months between the Korean and English schedule. And although I Married the Male Lead’s Dad will return on April 21, No Office Romance still has no return date. The reason behind these long delays is unclear, especially since popular titles like Childhood Friend Complex sometimes get published on the same day without any delay.

I don’t Want to Play Matchmaker Season 4 Cover Art
The new cover features Shuri. The cover art for Season 3 featured Corey – which is understandable given that it was basically his family arc at the end.
What will happen in Season 4?
I am 100 percent sure that we will continue to get male lead shenanigans, but apparently, we will also get some slaps in the face (look at the thumbnail of chapter 100). I’m not quite sure which character she slaps, but it doesn’t look like one of the male leads. We already resolved Corey’s and Hylli’s problems, Yves is out of the picture too because Shuri helped him quite a bit – that only leaves Swanhaden. That’s why I think Season 4 will focus more on Swanhaden and their shared backstory. Although he is not my favorite (Corey all the way) I’m looking forward to reading more.
