Secret Lady Season 3: Do we have any info about the release date?
Season 2 concluded with chapter 124 more than a year ago. On Kakao Page, chapter 124 was released on July 24, 2025. For international readers, the wait has been a little shorter: chapter 124 was released on September 2, 2025.
Since then, there have been no further official updates from the platforms, just a few pieces of information from the creator on Twitter.
The bad news: There is still no estimate for when Secret Lady will return.
The hiatus announcement on Tapas says, “Please note that Secret Lady will be taking a hiatus break in order to allow the team more time to work on episodes.”

Due to the artist’s health condition, Secret Lady will be going on an extended hiatus following Episode 124, which was uploaded on June 25 (June 24 at 10:00 PM).
The artist has done their utmost to continue working for the sake of the series and the readers who have been waiting, but as their health has not been recovering sufficiently, it was decided that they will now prioritize rest and focus fully on their recovery.
※ A short comic by the artist regarding the extended hiatus has been added to the very end of Episode 124.

Secret Lady Season 3: What is the artist up to?

Hello, this is BANANA. It’s been a little while since the announcement about the extended hiatus!
Some readers have been checking in and looking for updates, and since my condition has improved compared with before, I thought I’d share how I’ve been doing and give you a few updates. 🌸
1) Offline event related to Secret Lady
I’m still in recovery, so this isn’t something that will happen right away, but an offline event related to the series is currently being prepared.
The details probably won’t be revealed until around the end of this winter or after spring arrives, but I hope it will be happy news for the readers who have been waiting for such a long time.
2) Other news
Because I’m receiving long-term treatment through a tertiary hospital, I’m in a situation where, if I don’t work at all during the hiatus, it becomes difficult to fully cover costs such as surgery fees and prescription expenses. 😭
So I’m very slowly planning a short series in a genre that is less demanding to work on than romance fantasy.
It will be a contemporary romance, more specifically a high-school/college romance (!), featuring a quarterback male lead × popular-girl female lead, and it will be an R-rated short series.
I plan to start working on it once my health has recovered further, so it probably won’t be released until after next summer. The serialization platform has not yet been decided.
I’m expecting it to be a short series of around 15 episodes in total.
Since then, there have been a few small artwork updates as well as news about a Secret Lady collaboration cafe. BANANA wrote that she could not attend because of her health issues on March 14, but that she had been looking at reviews from readers who went.
To help cover her costs during the hiatus, BANANA has also offered background packages for Webtoon creators.
The latest update came on July 19, 2026:
It’s been a while since my last update. In June, after around a year of ongoing outpatient treatment, that phase finally came to an end, and I’m now properly focusing on rehabilitation. Before the end of the year, I’ll be back with the short series I mentioned earlier.
After a reader became confused and asked whether this meant she was dropping Secret Lady, BANANA clarified:
I felt that English-speaking readers might need a bit more explanation, so I’m adding this note: the short story will be released first, followed by the return of <Secret Lady>. Here are the reasons: 1) Since I haven’t fully recovered yet, I am working on a modern romance story first, as it requires less physical exertion than the historical romance genre. 2) A major reason is the need to cover medical expenses

“Followed by the return of Secret Lady” might make it sound as though the series will return shortly afterward, but I don’t think that will necessarily be the case.
Right now, the creator appears to be focusing her energy on recovering while also trying to cover her expenses. Once the short series is finished and her situation has stabilized further, we can probably expect work on Season 3 to continue.
Since she said that she would be back with the short story “before the end of the year,” I currently expect Secret Lady Season 3 to be released in spring 2027. However, this is not official. It is only my speculation based on the creator’s updates.
