Season 2 of I Am the Villain has been releasing steadily since January 29, when the series returned with episode 81. Now, Sejji has announced on Instagram that the webtoon will take a short hiatus to prepare the upcoming episodes. Here is the post, the confirmed return date, and a short recap of what has happened in Season 2 so far.
I Am the Villain will return on June 10th
According to her update, she needs a few weeks to prepare the upcoming episodes. She wrote that she wants to make sure the next episodes turn out the way she wants them to, especially because she has “been looking forward to it for so long.”
Honestly, that makes me even more curious about what she is cooking up next. The good news is that this does not seem to be a long hiatus. I Am the Villain is currently scheduled to return on June 10.
I Am the Villain Season 2: A Short Recap So Far
Season 2 started with a flashback to the real Lucia and gave us a little more backstory. Since then, quite a few things have happened, and some of them feel very important for what might come next. Here are some of the biggest points so far:
- The original Lucia seems to be waiting for something. (Could it be a dragon? Does she know more than we think?)
- Lucia’s father is on his way home, but we still do not know much more at this point.
- Noah and Lucia are deeply in love and try to spend all their free time together, which is honestly a joy to watch. The tension is very real.
- Noah now has a pet dragon, but Lucia does not know about it yet. Also, he keeps getting bigger. (Not in that way, get your mind out of the gutter). His clothes just do not fit anymore.
- Arthur is still as persistent and annoying as ever. He clearly has no intention of letting Lucia go.
- Lucia is constantly tired, but she does not know why.
- There is more than one dragon.
- Two mysterious men know about Lucia and seem to be trying to help her.
- Lucia has had flashbacks that suggest she may have lived this life before.
