When was Phantom Whispers Episode 63 released in Korea?
Episode 63 of Phantom Whispers was released in Korea on September 26, 2026, marking the official end of the hiatus. Moonkyoung Kim had announced the September comeback several months earlier and later confirmed September 26 as the exact return date:
Hello, dear readers.
This is Kim Moonkyung, the author of Phantom Whispers.
It’s been a while since I last greeted you! Somehow, more than a year has already passed.
The preparation for the series took much longer than expected, so the schedule had to be postponed.Phantom Whispers is planned to return this September!
I will work hard during the remaining time and do my very best not to disappoint the readers who have been waiting.
Please wait just a little longer!
Thank you!
Moonkyoung Kim later confirmed that the series would return on September 26. Episode 63 has since been published on Naver, so the Korean hiatus is officially over.
What does that mean for international readers?
The short version: Episode 63 is already out in Korea, but it has not yet been released on Webtoon Global.
Episode 62 was published in Korea on July 4, 2025, and on Webtoon Global on November 27, 2025. That is a gap of almost five months. If a similar delay applies to Episode 63, the English release could still be some way off.
I write many of these hiatus articles, and there is unfortunately no clear pattern for how long these delays last. A few scenarios I keep seeing:
- Simultaneous release after a season break: If a webtoon turned out to be extremely popular in Season 1, like Childhood Friend Complex, new episodes sometimes get published in Korean and English at the same time. That is not the case for ‘Phantom Whispers’.
- No delay at all: Global Launch series like Duchess in Ruins release everywhere from the start.
- Long delays: In cases like No Office Romance, the Korean version was ahead for more than seven months.
With ‘Phantom Whispers‘, I expect a delay of at least six weeks, but that’s only speculation on my part.
Why was ‘Phantom Whispers‘ on hiatus?
The reason is a happy one: Moonkyoung Kim was having a baby. She shared this back in the announcement for Episode 58 on Instagram, where she also framed the break as a six-month hiatus:
Since I will be giving birth, Phantom Whispers will go on a long hiatus for six months after Episode 62! 😭😭
I will return with even more fulfilling content! 💕💕💕 Please wait for me~ ☺️
The hiatus ended up lasting longer than planned. We don’t have an official statement on why, though her comeback post mentions that preparations for the series took longer than expected. The good news is what counts: Phantom Whispers has now officially returned in Korea.
The next question is when Episode 63 will arrive internationally. I will update this article as soon as Webtoon announces or releases the English version.
