Official Summary on Webtoon

To Yoonha, a model student at an elite high school, romance has always felt like a frivolous distraction. But when four surprising choices for love appear, her pencil begins to waver. Will she choose the right answer and ace the ultimate test?

Is Four Options worth reading?

Yes. Four Options is only 32 chapters in, so it’s still early – but honestly, even if the romance turns out to be a disaster, I’d still recommend it for the art and storytelling alone. The characters actually have depth, the pacing feels exactly right, and every panel gives you room to be in the moment. Now, fair warning: this is a reverse harem. The title kind of gives it away. And I usually hate multiple love interests. But Four Options won me over, because every character brings such a different angle that it never feels like a gimmick. I would read this one for the storytelling and characters alone.

Love interests in Four Options: These are all the Characters that could end up with the FL

Four Options Character Minhyuk Ha

Minhyuk Ha (Puppy-type)

Minhyuk is the Golden Retriever love interest. He is Yoonha’s best friend and definitely the closest to her. She misunderstands his intentions and tries to draw the line, but he assures her he sees her like a sister.

Four Options Love Interest Hong Seongbin

Seongbin Hong (Bad-Boy type)

Seongbin is the teasing, constantly flirting type. He approaches Yoonha to mess with her at first, and they definitely start off on the wrong foot – but let’s just say his intentions change pretty quickly.

Yohan Jung (Deer-type)

Yohan is the mysterious perfect at everything love interest. He is top of his class and always has a flock of admirers around him. Even Yoonha seems to be interested in him, but it is too early to tell. And it turns out: Yohan doesn’t seem to like the role he is forced to play.

The Fourth Love Interest in Four Options hasn’t been revealed yet. But I spotted a little spoiler on the creators’ Instagram account: he is supposed to be younger than our FL and a “cat type.” So maybe a tsundere?

artstyle and premise

The art in Four Options looks phenomenal and feels very fresh. It’s like a mix of old American comic book classics and modern Korean drawing style. A joy to look at.

Some stories move fast. You get three chapters about the world and backstory, and from there, everything is basically written out. Four Options is not that kind of story. We’re more than 20 chapters in and still don’t know much about Yoonha’s backstory. I actually love that. The pacing is great too – there are several panels for one single moment, and it creates tension and depth.

FL: strong and independent

Our FL Yoonha is smart, beautiful, and strong – and she knows it. She doesn’t let anyone walk all over her, but sometimes she goes a bit overboard drawing her lines. What I really like about her is that she isn’t black and white and that she realizes her mistakes quickly.

romance: many different angles

I know it sounds weird because this is a romance story, but I still feel like romance isn’t the main focus in Four Options. The characters’ personalities are what make this story truly worth reading. There is some tension – mainly thanks to Seongbin – but the FL is very against anything that has to do with romance in the beginning. So expect the romance to be slow in Four Options.

Read if you…

  • are in desperate need of a fresh romance manhwa – art and storywise
  • love when the female lead is strong, confident and beautiful, but still has her flaws
  • like not knowing who the ML is
  • love reading a high school romance with actual high school struggles: pressure from parents and peers, not knowing what you feel – just navigating through life trying your best
  • don’t like reverse harem (although I do consider this a good entry option)
  • don’t like FLs that keep pushing everyone away and obsessing over grades and first place
  • want a quick romance fix
  • don’t want your characters to have sad backstories
