Fae Trapped is the newest Webtoon from author instantmiso. Her art is amazing (her line art is extremely crisp), and her characters always feel natural because she knows how to write dialogue. “
Fae Trapped has been on hiatus since March 2026, but fans will have to wait a little longer. The fantasy romance Webtoon by instantmiso was originally expected to return in May 2026, but the creator has now shared a new return date on Instagram.

What is Fae Trapped about?
If you’ve read one of instantmiso’s works before, you know she always delivers something creative you haven’t seen before – and Fae Trapped is no exception. The story follows Elowen, a Fae who gets her wings ripped out and is banished to the human realm in the first chapter. For five years she’s been trying to get back, until the male lead stumbles into the forest and seems to be her key to returning to the Fae Realm. But of course it won’t go as smoothly as that: he grabs her, they get transported to the Fae Realm together, and switch bodies in the process.
Fae Trapped return date
At the end of Episode 25 there was a small intermission announcement that said:
Fae Trapped returns in May! Watch the video episodes while you wait
Instantmiso didn’t share a reason for the hiatus.
Now Instantiso shared an updated return date on Instagram:
Fae Trapped was supposed to come back in May, but now it’s set to return on June 11, 2026. The announcement didn’t explain the delay, but instantmiso shared on Instagram that she’s been very sick. For now, the main news is that the return has moved from May to June.
A bit of lore from instantmiso
In my search for more information, I came across a sweet post from instantmiso where she drops a bit of lore about Fae Trapped. Her husband seems to be a pretty sweet guy, and “we’re in this together” seems to be the dynamic she wants to convey for the main couple of Fae Trapped.
Is Fae Trapped worth reading?
Fae Trapped is worth checking out – even if just for instantmiso herself. She’s a strong creator. I’ll admit I was disappointed by the sudden ending of Eaternal Nocturnal, but her worldbuilding is on point and her stories often feel like a breath of fresh air.
I also love the premise: fae romance has a huge fanbase in romance books but hasn’t really found its place in webtoons yet. Maybe Fae Trapped will change that.
The biggest strength so far isn’t just the fantasy setup – it’s the chemistry. Instantmiso has always been good at writing natural dialogue, and it shows in the early episodes.
