When will Phantom Whispers Episode 63 be released?
Episode 63 is set to release in September 2026 in Korea. Moonkyoung Kim announced the comeback on Instagram, and here is the translated announcement:

This is Kim Moonkyung, the author of Phantom Whispers.
It’s been a while since I last greeted you! Somehow, more than a year has already passed.
The preparation for the series took much longer than expected, so the schedule had to be postponed.Phantom Whispers is planned to return this September!
I will work hard during the remaining time and do my very best not to disappoint the readers who have been waiting.

What does that mean for international readers?
The short version: You will probably wait a bit longer than Korean readers.
Episode 62 was published in Korea on July 4, 2025, and on Webtoon Global on November 27, 2025. That is a gap of almost five months. If that pace continues, English readers will likely have to wait even after new episodes start releasing in Korea.
I write many of these hiatus articles, and there is unfortunately no clear pattern for how long these delays last. A few scenarios I keep seeing:
- Simultaneous release after a season break: If a webtoon turned out to be extremely popular in Season 1, like Childhood Friend Complex, new episodes sometimes get published in Korean and English at the same time.
- No delay at all: Global Launch series like Duchess in Ruins release everywhere from the start.
- Long delays: In cases like No Office Romance, the Korean version was ahead for more than seven months.
With ‘Phantom Whispers‘, I expect a delay of at least six weeks, but that’s only speculation on my part.
Why was ‘Phantom Whispers‘ on hiatus?
The reason is a happy one: Moonkyoung Kim was having a baby. She shared this back in the announcement for Episode 58 on Instagram, where she also framed the break as a six-month hiatus:

The hiatus ended up lasting longer than planned. We don’t have an official statement on why, though her comeback post mentions that preparations for the series took longer than expected. The good news is what counts: ‘Phantom Whispers‘ will be back.
