At its core, this story is really all about art and it looks very different from what I’m used to. It has a very unique color palette, and the characters are drawn in a minimal style that still feels detailed. Each character has their own distinct traits, which fits perfectly since the story revolves around a girl who joins an art club – so creativity plays a big role throughout.
If you’re looking for a coming-of-age story with a pining ML and an FL who goes through a lot of character development, this one is definitely worth checking out.

Romance Manhwa with unique art – Short review:
Astina is strong, smart, and kind. What makes her stand out is that it never feels overbearing or too convenient, because she also has her own flaws and limitations. The art has a rough, almost sketch-like look, yet it still feels beautiful. The lines are loose, and details like noses are sometimes left out entirely, but that’s exactly what makes it so charming to me.
The dynamic between Duke Atalenta and Astina is great, they really respect each other and Teriod is the bashful one in the relationship. At first, I thought, what is this rushed story? But it quickly becomes clear that this is simply part of Astina’s backstory. In the beginning, I was also a bit taken aback by her very pragmatic approach to giving Teriod an heir – even in his wolf form – but it’s handled in a way that makes it feel more humorous than uncomfortable. But before you start reading: This story has it’s ups and downs. It starts strong but keep in mind that the FL is hung up on her past lover for quite a while.

Down to Earth’s Fl is an alien
I really debated if I should put this in the list cause the art is not that different from what I am used to reading, but the colors, the ears, the eyes the tattoos, etc. made me think otherwise. I love Down to earth. Kade and Zaida have much character development throughout the story. Zaida gets accustomed to earth and gets more independent and Kade slowly crawls out of his shell of self-pity and begins to heal his broken heart and his antisocial behavior. Their interactions are really sweet, although Kade is a stone sometimes. If you want to know more, check out my Review about Down to Earth. Down to Earth is also getting an anime.

Lore Olympus – the Romance Webtoon with really different art

This romance comic has over 4.7 million subscribers on WEBTOON and is one of the platform’s most popular series. I initially started reading it but put it aside because of a very sensitive topic in chapter 24. After some time, I decided to pick it up again, but I must admit I never finished it.
The art is beautiful, and the relationship between Persephone and Hades is genuinely adorable. The romance is definitely a slow burn. Hades never pressures Persephone and instead supports her wholeheartedly, which makes their dynamic feel warm and respectful, but the story somehow lost me after 150 chapters.

Romance Webtoons with unique art: Antistalker

Short summary: The official summary is a bit weird, so here’s a quick rundown of the plot: the story follows Kira and August, who were childhood friends – although Kira no longer remembers that for some reason. They both attend a mixed school where vampires, werewolves, and humans study together.
In the first chapter, Eugene, the student council’s vice president, tries to help August by placing roses and a strange photo in Kira’s locker. However, the plan backfires, and Kira ends up thinking that August is her stalker. Instead of correcting her, he goes along with it, hoping it will help him get closer to her.
Antistalker Short Review
Antistalker has some cliché elements, like August having to marry a werewolf woman to secure peace between the species, Kira having amnesia, and another love interest for Kira. Nevertheless, I still think the comic feels unique, and I love the art style. Kira is a very strong FL and makes sure to keep the balance at school. August, on the other hand, is very caring and tries to help Kira wherever he can, even though he has to deal with his toxic family. This one has a good plot and is really fun to read. In conclusion: give it a try.

If you like funny misunderstandings, this Comic is your jam. If you enjoy funny misunderstandings, this comic might be right up your alley. Valerie constantly misinterprets situations because of all the romance novels she read in her past life. She believes the duke’s house is a “tiger’s den” and that everyone is out to get her. She’s convinced that Serenia and the duke are lovers and that he wants her gone, when in reality it’s the complete opposite – Kylus is just awkwardly trying to confess his feelings.
If you’re in the mood for a lighthearted rom-com, this could be a great pick.
