But if you’re already caught up, you’re probably here because you want to know one thing: When is season 3 coming? Great news – we finally have an answer.
The Mafia Nanny: Why the Hiatus?
Season 2 of The Mafia Nanny concluded on February 3. The season ran for 36 episodes (Episodes 64–99), and the season break is still relatively fresh. The final episode ended with Davina and Gabriel holding hands – but no message from the creators, just a simple “to be continued – season break.”
For a while, neither artist sh00 nor writer Violet Matter posted any news about the hiatus on their official accounts. That has now changed – Violet Matter has officially announced the return of the series and revealed that the break was due to welcoming her second baby.
When will The Mafia Nanny return?
Season 3 of The Mafia Nanny premieres on May 11th, 2026 – just days away. The announcement came directly from writer Violet Matter on her official Webtoon creator account:
“Did you miss us? The Mafia Nanny is coming back May 11th with season three! Thanks to all the readers who waited while I took an extra hiatus! Baby no 2 is cute and cuddly, but I’m ready to get back to writing. New projects are rolling out and in the works as well so stay tuned!”
For context, the break between Season 1 and Season 2 was extremely short. If you count the bonus flashback episodes “Nanny Gaiden,” there wasn’t really any break for the creators at all. Here’s the timeline:
- Season 1 finale: March 18, 2025
- Nanny Gaiden bonus episodes: Published weekly during the break
- Season 2 premiere: June 10, 2025
That’s roughly a three-month gap – and it included weekly content the entire time. And that despite the fact that writer Violet Matter had recently had a baby. Here’s what she posted on her official Webtoon creator account before Season 2:

How Long Was the Break??
The break before Season 3 ended up being longer than the gap between Seasons 1 and 2, which makes sense since Violet Matter became a mom of two during that time. But now that we have a confirmed return date of May 11th, fans won’t have to wait much longer.
In her latest post, Violet Matter also teased additional projects: “New projects are rolling out and in the works as well so stay tuned!” She means the new Webtoon Code <grace>. She said she has been working on this comic for ages. But it has a different artist than Mafia Nanny.
