The Baengri Clan’s Unwanted Granddaughter: What can we expect from Season 3?
In Season 2, our FL Yeon gains more and more allies while continuing to secretly hone her martial arts skills – abilities that almost no one is aware of. There are also two main romantic interests: Yayul and Ryucheong. Yayul is completely devoted to Yeon and comes across as a full-blown yandere, treating only the FL with kindness, while Ryucheong is more of a brat in comparison.
In Season 3, at least at the beginning, both of them will likely play a much smaller role. Yayul is training his skills with the fire grandpa whose name I unfortunately forgot, and Ryucheong remains with his family to continue his own training.
Either way, The Baengri Clan’s Unwanted Granddaughter is not a manhwa you read primarily for romance. The real appeal lies in watching a small FL get a second chance at life and slowly charm everyone around her. In that sense, it is very similar to I Shall Master This Family. Just like in that series, Yeon stays a child for a very long time – and she will remain small throughout most of Season 3.
Season 3 will likely focus on Yeon gradually gaining more approval in the Baengri Clan with her grandfather by her side. The man introduced in the new arc is Clan Head Jegal, whom Yeon assists using her abilities – making it very likely that he, too, will end up falling for her.
I’m especially looking forward to seeing how Yeon convinces the rest of the clan and how they react once she finally reveals her true abilities. That said, I do hope she will face some challenges she can’t immediately solve on her own, because small children knowing everything gets old pretty fast.
