- Second hiatus: May – July 2021 (about two months)
- Long hiatus: December 2021 – October 2023
- Current hiatus: Since January 2024, after the release of Episode 79
I Stan the Prince: Reason for the Hiatus
The last official statement from artist Zoo Sun came in January 2024. You can really feel the creator’s regret for not being able to continue:
“Episode 79 has been uploaded. After that, we will be going on a short hiatus.
You have waited for such a long time, and I feel sorry to bring such disappointing news so soon after returning.
Since I tend not to take good care of myself, it ends up affecting both my work and this series, and I keep letting down the people who help and cheer me on.
Recovery of my health is not something I can give a clear answer about, so I cannot say yet how long the hiatus will last.
But I will do my best to return as soon as possible.
Thank you, as always, for cherishing I Stan the Prince.
I’ll be back soon…!”
I Stan the Prince: Official Notice from Mstoryhub
On January 10, 2024, Mstoryhub – Zoo Sun’s management and publisher – also issued a notice:
“Although the creator has been steadily producing manuscripts since returning, their health has recently deteriorated significantly. Given the current health condition, it has been judged difficult to continue additional work. Therefore, starting next week, the series will go on hiatus to allow time for recovery and reorganization.
The schedule for resuming serialization will be announced later through another notice. We sincerely ask for your continued love and support for I Stan the Prince and for artist Zoo Sun (죽선).”
This confirms that the hiatus is health-related and does not mean the series has been cancelled.
Revisions & Updates to Earlier Episodes
For readers who want to revisit the story while waiting, there have been official updates to existing chapters:
- Art corrections: Episodes 1, 2, 5, 6, 13, 14, 15
- Dialogue corrections: Episodes 21, 42, 78
- Additional dialogue revision: Episode 66
If you purchased these chapters before, you can delete them from your library and re-download the updated versions without any additional cost.
No Release Date for I Stan the Prince Yet – What International Readers Should Expect
As of now, there is no official return date for Chapter 80 or Season 2. Even when the series resumes in Korea on KakaoPage, readers outside Korea should expect delays. Translation and scheduling mean that Tappytoon often runs weeks or even months behind the original.
